Ormond Engineering Ltd started in 2005, although the journey began many years beforehand. Vic Ormond completed an Advanced Trade Certificate in Fitting & Turning in the early 1960’s and went on to build a wealth of experience in many fields including automation within the fruit industry. Vic, along with his wife Sylvia, formed Ormond Engineering which originally serviced clients from the local district, primarily in fitting, turning and light engineering.
Since then, the business has grown and diversified providing many products and services to many customers and industries, and Vic and Sylvia’s son Kevin, has taken over as the company’s CEO. Ormond Engineering now holds a wealth of knowledge and expertise in supporting mining, healthcare, fishing and agricultural industries with innovative solutions to their engineering challenges.
With a strong technical background from a diverse range of industries including aviation, management and supervisory experience, combined with the ability to understand key business metrics, operational excellence, planning and people, Kevin aims to improve and build on Ormond Engineering even further. Leading an innovative team in research & development and continuous improvement projects, Ormond Engineering aspires to achieve engineering excellence across an ever increasing range of industries not only in New Zealand but throughout the world.
